Lauren and Matt's story began in October 2020 at Good People Brewery in Birmingham, AL. Both Birmingham transplants, brought to the deep south to pursue their respective careers, they began exploring their new city together. When we say explore, their second date was a hike around Red Mountain Park. With thunderstorms in the forecast and a poor sense of direction, they headed out to explore the Park. Ten miles later (but no rain), the second date was complete and they really got to know each other.

About a month later, in November 2020, they were "official" and the adventures have not stopped. From fishing across the southeast, skiing in the west, and exploring a South American cloud forest, the last 4 years have allowed them to explore some amazing places.

In March 2024, unbeknownst to Lauren, Matt flew in to Kentucky to propose. With a few YouTube tutorials and some helpful supervision, Matt constructed a balloon arch on the dock of the Hobson pond in Hopkinsville, KY. After Matt got down on one knee, they celebrated at a local restaurant with their families and some close friends.

For their next adventure, Lauren will be relocating to Charlotte, NC (where Matt relocated for work) to put down roots.

They truly appreciate all of the love and support over the last 4+ years and are so excited to spend March 29, 2025 celebrating with everyone.
